Paul F: When last I frequented this board (INTC in the 80's), you were pretty negative and short the stock (am I right about that?). So, I come back a few months later and you are still here. What is your downside objective from here? What do you think is fair value for INTC today? Sorry if these are questions you've addressed before but I am interested in your opinion.

Paul, well, this takes care of a good discussion. Your mind is made up already. "There is no disputing that Intel is a good long term investment at some price. This author seems to want us to believe (a) Intel will reach new highs soon (b) Intel is at the bottom of its range. Both seem highly unlikely given where the stock is trading. This article doesn't help us."

So, what do you think will help us? In your scenario you either have to hold, sell or short the stock. And that, of course, is YOUR decision alone. No one here believing in Intel can help you and now an outsider is not worth the paper he writes on.

On the other hand, now that you agree that Intel is a long term investment, you could nibble now or just go to sleep for awhile and wait until it looks better to you unless you are thinking of shorting it and I certainly can't help you there.

Good luck whatever you decide

Sonny

Paul, re: "Now I reach all these conclusions based on my own experience with how the press works."

You still haven't filled us in on the Computer Resellers News article that stated that business sales of computers have been flat for months. Important information, issue date, page number, please?
