I agree - you and I are on the same page. Lots of unintended consequences. And like you, I have certain beliefs and morals - but I also am not stupid - and if the government wants to give away free money, I am not going to say no The whole system needs fixed but no one really wants to fix it the right way

I don't believe it was intended to provide help to anyone on this board although I believe it has helped many poor or with pre-existing conditions. If you have never been in that boat, uninsurable at any price because of non-existent "pre-existing conditions" arbitrarily deemed so by insurers, that alone made the ACA a godsend. My wife & I are both now on Medicare so it's a moot point.
