Why doesn't the federal government do what they're supposed to with the federal database? Could they want the database to fail to stop dangerous people so these opportunities to advance even more legislation they don't intend to enforce?

Ted Cruz reveals how Democrats FILIBUSTERED legislation that would have forced the Air Force to update NCIC

Ted Cruz explains how Democrats filibustered legislation in 2013 that would have mandated the Air Force update the NCIC database:
..........

Ted Cruz says he was getting more and more angry just thinking about this on the plane back to DC.

Not only did the Air Force fail to comply with gun laws, but the Democrats actually filibustered legislation that he sponsored that would have forced them to comply with the law which might have prevented this massacre from happening.

It’s especially frustrating when, as Cruz points out, that Kelley had both a domestic violence conviction as well as a 12 month sentence that would have prevented Academy from selling him that Ruger in 2016.

I hope the Trump administration comes down hard on the Air Force and investigates why this failure to comply occurred. After all, you know that if a gun store or dealer failed to comply with the law, the holy hell of government would come down on them faster than you can blink an eye, especially after a massacre like this. The same should happen with regard to the Air Force.

And while they’re at it, someone should haul in Eric Holder and grill him on why his DOJ didn’t prosecute the 48,000 that lied on their gun applications in 2010.
