Overall acceptance rate is totally irrelevant when it comes to special admits.

And legacy is a category, but that's not what I'm talking about.

I'm talking about a father who could give the school $20 million. Or another who built six of their buildings. Or another who is a politician voting on whether to tax their endowment. Or another hack who sits on the city real estate permitting council. Or a famous actress who could bring good publicity to the school. All of these are special admits, no legacy required.
