There are a few exceptions, but I'd like to know what court cases exist for someone defending themselves against authority, when the authority was incorrect in thinking the victim was guilty of anything. There must be some such cases. For example, if someone sees a cop shooting someone who you know is innocent of any wrong doing, then can you kill the cop in defense of the victim?
