They might like the looks. I happen to NOT like the looks. I like wooden stocks and grips. I think the AR15 type guns look like they're made by Mattel.


Then you probably don't own an AR15, but 100's of thousands do..... The AK47 draws similar affection. I can recall as a kid loving the looks of the Western lever action carbine used in most western movies.... I think Marlin made them also... An air gun look alike was the Red Ryder BB gun which was the only gun I ever owned, albeit for a very short time.

Or maybe they like that they're easy to customize, change out the stocks, put a pistol grip on, put all kinds of barrels and sights on. I read today someone is making a "chainsaw bayonet" for the AR15. Which made me laugh it's so ridiculous.


Look back in the postings and you can find the link, it is laughable and I think an intentional spoof on gun huggers.... I suggest a vertical mount so the gun can be mounted and fired on automatic to use it as a drill....
