How do you know Trump! wasn't born in Scotland, his mother's country? You know, Trump's Mom was Gramma Trump's maid and Fred got her pregnant and Ma made him marry her? Gramma Trump was a German immigrant who started the Trump Organization, known then as Elizabeth C Trump & Son. Here she is, the founder of the Trump family business: She had three children and wanted them to get educations but the dumbest one, Fred, didn't have what it took to excel in school so she employed him in her business. She ran the business till her death in 1966 and kept Fred under her thumb. While she lived, she signed all the checks (that fact mentioned in Fred's obituary). The other two children got educations and were successful in their lives, especially the youngest son, John. Each inherited a third interest in the family business. Fred had five children, one of which died before his father. The four surviving children of Fred each got a fourth of Fred's interest, so Donald Fredovich can't possibly own more than 8.25% of the family business, the Trump Organization. Probably a good bit less because he got his siblings to loan him $20 million each twice in the 90's after he went bust. Let's say the Trump Organization is worth $3.5 billion. Multiply by .0825 and subtract $120 million and you get about $169 million for his 'billionaire' net worth. Trump pretends he owns the whole thing, but there's no way that could be true. I'm sure the family has a management committee that has to ratify any really significant decision. They let the family bad boy live in a gold plated apartment in a building the family business owns and play and act like he's running things like a big boy.

Once you auction off your soul for the promise of political gain, it becomes easier and easier to justify literally anything done by one of your own.
