Hi Woody, OH YEA - If you earned a lot of income in your life (and consequently paid more into the medicare fund than others) - you get the privilege of paying more for your Part B medicare on a monthly basis. EXCUSE ME BUT IF I PAID MORE INTO IT - SHOULD IT NOT BE CHEAPER FOR ME TO HAVE THE SAME BENEFIT THAT EVERYONE ELSE RECEIVED?? It is simply government theft with a lot of euphemisms and lip stick on a PIG!! Rant over. Bob

This attitude that Social Security is an entitlement - along the lines of SSI, which is totally welfare - has been going on for some time in the media. They are doing the same thing to Medicare - making it equivalent to Medical (welfare). People pay a huge percentage of their wages for life for Medicare and then continue to pay hugely each month that they are on it. It's clear where this is all headed - and those who paid in will be robbed!
