Seth, In his book O'Neal talks about a base on top of a base, something, that we may be in now. A condition where a stock contrary to the general trend of the market has broken out of a base and establishes a second base. When the general downtrend eventually ends the stock spurts up to where it wanted to go originally. In 1978 M-A Com advanced 180% and Boeing 950%.

Its a great book IMO.
