AOL's accounting of the merger should be a Rembrandt (or more
properly, a Salvadore Dali) of merger accounting maneuvers, with
loads and loads of write-offs which the Street has amply
demonstrated willingness to ignore. In fact, AOL probably has been
counting on that all along.
