As I said, I'm not an expert in this area. I didn't fully understand the issue. That's why I asked for clarification. Thanks for your (and others) help explaining. Now I know customers should be looking forward to Intel's MMX2 rather that AMD's K6-3D <g>. I understand AMD is getting some support from games developers. What is needed from an operating system to support this? Surely people won't want to run DOS games anymore. What is MS's position on this?
