<<There's nothing inherently wrong with capitalism. >>

The path that the US has traveled since Reagan has been classic Marx capitalist theory as elaborated in the Communist Manifesto and Das Kapital. "Greed is good" has run rampant over the past 37 years. The Capitalists want an even bigger portion of the pie and won't be satisfied till they take control of everything. Their greed has no bounds. This is the classic late stage of capitalism where it eventually self-destructs.

Religious faith in this country is not primarily oriented towards compassion and overcoming inequities, but toward personal salvation. This is why the poor and lower middle income are so clueless and disorganized: they want to become capitalists or the Masters that strive to control all wealth. There is absolutely no conscious movement here to change the system. The boob tube controls the masses; it's a complete snow job.

I didn't vote for Obama in 2012 (or anyone else for that matter) because he was a liar: he said he was going to reduce the military budget and bring troops home and what he did was create the greatest US military budget (at that time) ever and send more troops out to fight. The Democrats thought that was A OK. I even had Epicure telling me that the big military budget was good because it gave minorities and poor people jobs. Some job!
