Yes, a 25% hair-cut could happen, even at these levels. We'll see in exactly 2 weeks' time (Jan 22 is the earnings date for LSI).

In any case, what's happening now is for the good. It should test the resolve of "investors" who keep yapping that stocks "go up over the long haul". This will let us see how long their haul is!

What this country needs is a good 15-20% correction. I for one, wouldn't shed any tears at all if the Dow were to go down to 5600 levels (and the Nasdaq to 1000).

Dipy.

Daniel,

Don't be such a pessimist. I'm in the same boat as you are...got in at 22 out at 44+, back in at 37, more in at 33, more in at 29, more in at 24, got down to my neck at 20... so where am I? I'm deep in sh*# that's where. If it get's down to 15 then I'll have to use my kid's college fund to get MORE in.

Am I BITTER? Naww...my God, I'm very happy.

I've been rotating in/out since '94 and so far, my last calculation shows I gained a total of 2.28%. Am I BITTER?

Fortunately for me my AMAT & MU gains are still keeping me out of deep kimshi.

Best,
Small Fry
