Yeah, you're exactly right on all points... and viewing near term losses while the position moves up and back as a cost of doing business is exactly the right attitude, yet so many can't tolerate even a minimal temporary loss so they close out a position with that small loss before the market has a chance to recoup... that requires strong discipline and personal faith in one's timing strategy, but it does pay off... and yet, it's so human to get nervous and dump a position before it turns positive... heck, I did that this morning myself when the market began moving against me, but that's my particular strategy also, if the market doesn't do what I think it should do then I simply close it out and reassess and then take another shot at it at another opportune time...
