According to City Harvest, which distributes food to the needy in the NYC area, 25% of children in NYC go to bed hungry every night:

Honestly, I am a bit hesitant to bring this up and talk about it because I know most of the people who post here couldn't give 2 chits and only care about their stock portfolio and/or the Republican agenda.

But isn't it interesting that as the top "1% now own more than 1% of the world's wealth the divide just keeps widening":

I don't even know why this country is called the United States of America. A more appropriate name would be the United Corporate State.

As for China, there was a serious hunger problem, which Communism did rectify. Of course, in the US, very few US economists took that seriously as the standard of living was pitifully low.

As for the stock market, I wouldn't worry to much about that as the Gov't and Federal Reserve System has its back till it runs out of money.

And I don't try to catch bottoms, like many have done recently, with GE. I buy high and sell higher.

Looks like Trump's men see the Tax Cut as a done deal. Next on the agenda is to spend tons of money on infrastructure:
