If it isn't time to reconsider the Fed's role and continued existence now, then when?

So let's shut them down. What is the proper real interest rate now? My guess is that rates will be as low or lower than they are now with a whole lot more volatility.

I say that interest rates were artificially high for the life of the Fed and we have finally reverted to the norm. Given the worldwide economy and the dollar as it's currency I doubt we'll ever see rates like we saw even ten years ago.
