I like to say that I didn't vote for Trump...I voted against Hillary. But with all of Trump's flaws (and they are legion), I wanted a wrecking ball, and I got it. Someone needs to get in there and tear apart the sclerotic system we have now. It is simply not working for the American people. I don't like Bernie's Socialism, but he had the pulse of the American people far better than Hillary did. Hillary was out of touch...still is. She was a bad candidate and would have been a terrible President, just in a different way than Trump. People have this idea that Hillary would have been the second coming of Bill. No way. Not by a long shot. Bill was a highly intelligent, charismatic, moderate leader with real executive experience. Hillary has just been riding his coattails. She made a mess of things as SecState. Anyway, good riddance. The Dems and the American people deserve better. Think of Trump as liquid draino. We have some hairballs in the drain that need acid to clean out. What better way to do it than eliminating all establishment candidates and installing the tweeting Cheeto into office. LOL. There are some things that Trump is doing that I like. For example, he puts America First. It's about damned time. Our leaders have been using the US' wealth like their own personal piggy bank to give money away to everyone around the world with their hand out. In addition, we've been signing trade deals where we give the lion's share of the benefits away to other countries, in exchange for not much in return. Our relationship with China is a classic example where they get pretty much free access to our markets and we only get to do business with them if we do a joint venture, where we own 49%, and we have to hand over our intellectual property. It's a shitty deal. And these shitty deals we have with the world's nations do nothing but impoverish the US. It's one of the reasons we're in debt to the tune of $20 trillion. We need to start thinking like a poor country and start being better business people. America First is an a good first step.
