I think you might be clueless to the impacts to the Americans who are not on the exchanges. The costs of corporations skyrocketed under Obamacare. Companies passed on much of those costs to employees. My premiums, subsidized by my company, still doubled from the time Obamacare was initiated to the time I retired. I imagine that you must be pretty pissed to see your premiums go up by 5X. Are you still a supporter of Obamacare because you believe it is helping other people? Are you glad that they are taking money from your family to give to others? I'm honestly curious whether you really find that acceptable and whether you'd actually admit that on this thread.

I am in the same boat as you, have to buy my own insurance and the same age Before Obamacare I had a catastrophic policy that was pretty cheap, about $100 per month... but in the more than 10 years I paid it, I never got any single benefit from it... well, that's a good thing because I had no health issues... but after I turned 50 yrs old I decided to get some stuff checked out... turns out that "healthplan I had was pretty much worthless for basic checkups and preventative care... the healthcare plan I have now is almost $600 per month... but at least it is "real" coverage that paid for a colonoscopy that would have been $4000 out of pocket and also covers prescription meds and regular preventative visits at no cost... and if something unexpected happens then at least I have REAL coverage There are many ways that the current Obamacare system could be tweaked to work better... but the current Rs only want to KILL it, basically because it's called OBAMAcare, and they are trained like lapdogs to hate everything associated with the govt, all the while they are sucking off the govt tit
