The scenario we have before us is an other-guy previous administration. Prosecute and you dine with the monkeys."

That's if you believe that the Republicans and Democrats that stray aren't in bed together in many of these deals. Maybe there is nothing maybe there is something. Just like the investigation into the Trump Campaign is already drawing in groups normally aligned with the Democrats. Such as when Manafort was indicted then Tony Podesta resigned from the Podesta Group because he fell under Mueller scrutiny as an outcome. It may be possible that if we look for corruption it's no longer a that party or that administration but a mix of both parties in collusion together.
