I do love this picture because I was genuinely happy that I was participating in an unusual but fitting experience, celebrating a friend's life rather than mourning his passing. And knowing that I was there with a real trumpet when chances were that, if anything, we might've otherwise had someone holding an electric trumpet near their face. I'm trying to get the word out that if that's ever being contemplated, for crying out loud, I'll sound taps for a fellow military man. Bob and I used to chat a lot back in the early days. If not for Bob and the timing I most likely would not have this job. Rest in peace Bob.
