Adaptec weighed in with a preannouced warning on a miss in the 4th qtr earnings of about 20 cents. It promptly got $14 chopped off its price. That sure didn't help matters. I love to these market makers manipulate stocks especially on volitile days like today. In the case of Cymi, which was down all day, I couldn't help but notice with an hr to ago and Cymi trading @ 15 1/4 to 15 3/8 suddenly the mm moves the stock up to 16 3/8 so now I'm watching the tape, yes what the mm does, is buys a chunk @ say 15 1/4 moves it up to 16 3/8, then sells his inventory all off, back to where I think, it closed. Oh well tough day, for all investor longs and calls.This Asian crisis (remember it started as the flu), makes it tough for Cymer. With the exception of a few isolated stocks (including cymi) all I'm doing is shorts and puts (its what you call "throwing the knife back at them). Good luck to all.
