I think you will see a reversal on Monday
Sector, I concur with you. All cos which knew they wouldn't make it already pre-announced. From 1 analyst, he said INTC might beat estimate by 15 pennies. Fifteen pennies, yes, this is not a typo. I have had a position in INTC at good price. Too bad, I can't cough up with more money in my fund to buy INTC. INTC will single-handedly fuel the market sentiment. IMHO, INTC can beat estimate by a dime. Long term, INTC is a tremendous stock as most if not all major OS will be ported to the Merced chip. INTC will release earnings next Tues 1/13
after mkt close. You probably knew about INTC's immediate term prospect. I don't want to borrow too much Web time of ASND on the general market sentiment.

This will be followed by ASND & LU on 1/20, CPQ & MSFT on 1/21, CUBE on 1/22. All these cos will beat estimates from my research lending 1-2 boost to the market. Today might have been the last chance to buy on the dip for Jan.

Generally, the market rises toward the end of an earning seasons.
In the next 3 weeks earning will likely take center stage instead of the Asia crisis which may wrestle control back in mid-Feb.
