Bill, The news is good but not good enough to entice a hoard of new buyers, otherwise we would be going up. This is very similar to what happened after the JV announcement. Good news but not getting attention of stock buyers, they want big numbers, production numbers. Eventually they will get them and this stock will do well. As long as the news is under expectations there will be no "zoom" reaction.
Also the drop through important support at 280 for the spot gold price did not help the general sentiment for gold mining stocks. IMHO,
Patience, fellow shareholder<G>

Bill, if you check out the Yahoo BCMD thread there was a reply to your "it makes it go down post" there. Also, here is my reply to that reply to your post on SI?<G>:

Dave that was a good answer to Bill on SI. However you forgot one thing, the
thing that has stopped me from daytrading this stock and turned it into a long
term investment for me. They have a lot of gold mines, and with the nature of
their mines they could at any time, especially now that they are in virgin ore, hit a
big strike, a large pocket or area of such pockets. This is the nature of deposits
in the area and the odds, IMHO, are in favor of some news like this eventually.

In addition, they have gold in an ongoing operation with a new JV and plenty of
areas to mine and develop, THIS is far different than when this stock sold under
half a buck, and even without a big strike, they should eventually prove
profitable. Therefore it seems to me (IMHO) a safe bet, and potentially a
lucrative one, despite the occassional days or weeks which try an investors
patience.
