>> First, no one is defending Clinton's behavior, but it was not the big deal the Republicans made it out to be to impeach him and allowed Ken Starr to spend 40 million dollars looking for dirt.

Had that expenditure never occurred we would not know about the brutal rape of Juanita Broaderick. Would never know it happened.

Ken Starr was trying to bring out the facts. Although he could not prosecute Clinton for the rape due to the same technicality that protects Franken (statute of limitations) the facts did come out.

Unwanted touching or kissing is one thing, but rape and the associated battery is something else altogether.

You complain about Ken Star, but not about Mueller? Mueller's on a fishing expedition and it's a waste of tax payer dollars.

we should have universal health care, and free public education for every child beginning at 2.5 years.
I agree. I've posted on this thread about my agreement that when it comes to our kids, we should provide free healthcare and education. However, I don't think we need very high taxes and a big government to do that. Instead, I'd cut spending on worthless things, like all the subsidies for the 5% of adults who spend 50% of the healthcare resources on their avoidable diabetes and heart disease and the subsidies for old people's welfare. In addition, I'd cut the military complex's budget to pay for our kids. I will always choose to spend on kids over old people. That is the natural order of things. Baby Boomers have bled this country dry. I'm saving all my sympathy and generosity for the kids.

We should also directly address the egregious income inequality in this country and the plutocratic oligarchy running our country. And it is clear to see the fiscal conservatives running this country are cutting taxes on the backs of the poor and giving the money to the rich.
Agreed. The best way to do that is to get rid of things like Citizen's United, curtail the rights of lobbyists to corrupt our Congress, start prosecuting corrupt politicians, ensure that Congress has to live by the same laws as the rest of us including Obamacare and insider trading, and eliminate the Federal Reserve so that we can have honest money instead of stealth taxation of the 99%. As for tax cutting, it is cutting for everyone, but since the rich always pay more taxes, when they focus on tax cuts for everyone, the rich always benefit most. It's just math. If it were me, I would not want Congress to focus on tax cuts. We don't need them. What we need is a fix to Abominationcare.
