one a little stupid for going barefoot. Hey, barefoot is normal. Shoes need the justifying. This morning I ran 5 km including on sharp little stones. Feels good. My mother in law used to say that (I kid you not) having sex with a condom is like washing your feet with your socks on. She had many pearls of wisdom. Having shoes and socks between yourself and reality is similar. El Matador experienced the value of barefoot life. A sandy beach even at 6 degrees is for tender foots. I admit that I did not run barefoot in snow other than a little. It's just a bit too cold. I also want to use the word pussy-footing but after a nice lunch with friends from 60 years ago I can't come up with a good usage. Mqurice
