Talked with some Zenith employees at the CES to learn that Zenith has completed the tooling to manufacture the first-generation 64" projection HDTVs and will begin manufacturing in August, at their plant in Mexico. Price about $10,000. No DBS partner for Zenith.

Saw the Zenith demos. The larger the screen size, the more impressive. Clean out that spare bedroom and turn into a Zenith Home Theater! Zenith did have a pitch about their new relationship with Intel. Talked to one dealer who told me he just bought 1,000 Zenith 35" direct-view sets. He also is a big buyer of Zenith's 25" and 27" sets (highest sales-volume units).

Zenith's Divx coming out in March, according to trade press.

Scott , did you ask him 'why not' , it is the perfect time to.....................
set the stage for a ZE comeback with all the silly panic going on.
Even Cisco is getting bad rapped. When the near past leaders
are getting bad ink , it is THE TIME for for a move. What is their
problem ? We have been waiting for CES to look for some positive
press. Their prograstination is getting old at this household !!!
