I was talking about JFK. It was during the Civil Rights fight in the 60s (starting in the early 60s) that southern Democrats left the party and became republicans. Men like Reagan and Gingrich were Democrats until Civil Rights. Both said the party left them. It seems obvious what the issue was....racism.
