Actually, they don't have a First Amendment right to protest as employees of the NFL. The NFL policies supersede their right to protest, since they are working for the NFL during games. The NFL could legally fire them for protesting and the courts would back them up. A lot of people don't realize that your employer can do this, even though it is seemingly a violation of your First Amendment rights.
