I thought the AMAT's and KLAC's and CYMI's performed well today, in that after the market really blew up around 315, these stocks actually closed higher than where they were trading prior to that time. I think we will see a bounce Monday morning because there were no after market tech blow ups that I can see.

I bought some KLAC today for the first time. That stock is volatile as heck, but I think I can see 40 next week sometime if the techs bounce back like I think they will. Cymer not moving too much. Probably just a lack of selling pressure keeping it above 15.

Diana, I was watching Cymer on a Level II screen. The tech stocks had a quick burst of buying and CYMI went with it. The biggest trade was 3,000 shares. Most of them looked like SOESers, with 1,000 share trades. IMO, it was just market makers sucking the SOESers and others into buying at a higher price. On the way back down, there was a quick BID on INCA (instinet) of roughly 15,000 shares (I can't remember the exact #) around 15 9/16, but only a few thousand were traded and the bid was withdrawn. I got all excited for nothing.
