You have known, for years, that I believed the program (referring to the exchanges) would die on its own if it were not boosted by government dollars. It seems like a common-sense approach to the problem. I would be doing the same thing.

That is, Trump is just doing what the law says do. Sure, I commend him for that. But it isn't Trump "killing" Obamacare. It is Obamacare dying as a result of it being bad law. It was never going to survive without the illegal kickbacks to insurance companies that had become routine under Obama (I honestly was very naive about this, as it never occurred to me Obama could just grab billions of dollars and pay it to insurance companies as he did without congressional approval; I suppose I was ignorant of how that worked).

It is a frustrating point to me that Trump has not effectively conveyed this point. The Dems are out front telling about how Trump's killing Obamacare, but the reality is he has pulled the plug on the life support for a brain-dead program.

Perhaps he doesn't feel the need to promote that fact, but there are a lot people out there who misunderstand what is happening. Still, I have no need to cheerlead for Trump here: he's doing what needs to be done to solve the problem and it will ultimately be effective.

(Not unlike what is happening in NK right now: it is hard on the participants [the people] but it will lead to acquiescence in due course if allowed to play out).
