You said that 'any' of the places you mentioned are doing COM. That means they aren't doing CORBA or Java, doesn't it? Microsoft's fantasy about Java developers using ActiveX aside.

Tell me your source and the relevance for this statistic. It seems completely preposterous. The last time I visited the tech bookstores in downtown SF, they had taken mass quantities of ActiveX and COM books back off the shelves and replaced them with more Java/Corba books. Due to lack of demand for the MSFT knowledge, I presume.

But hey, maybe they don't know their own market.
