The market reactions today seem to be due to the problems in Indonesia and earnings warnings which usually come out before the earning suprises.. They need Greenspan and Rubin to help them do their thinking! Jim, This may be hard for you to believe, But Rubin may be the cause of the problem. Rubin in in favor of a strong US Dollar and it is that Dollar strenth that is creating the imbalances in these countries. As for a Quick Resolution, You can hope for it, But it is kinda like folks here in Atlanta going to the store every time the weather man says snow to buy milk and bread. No one gets over that panick stage until it gets back to 45 degrees. How long will it take for Indonesia to warm up and stop panicking I have no idea. I would not expect it to go away over the weekend. Remmember they trade before we do on monday. Jim
