...... folks like you who do not respect education are the ones who voted for Trump and too often have children that are failures

Where does this rage come from? Are Trumps kids failures? You paint with a pretty broad brush.... I think Trump is proud of his Academy Education..... I do think he is concerned about the quality of education and the parents right to choose schools for their kids and ultimately whether there will be any decent jobs for kids entering the workforce.

God and American ideals are important to him .... If a Mexican wants to send his kid to a Catholic School - then the Govt should not object on religious grounds. Mexicans / Catholics are really quite conservative and have a massive love of traditional family, family values including respect for life.....

>> It is the whole ball game and folks like you who do not respect education are the ones who voted for Trump and too often have children that are failures because you refuse to educate them for one reason or another.

I can say that I have great respect for "education" but I have known many highly educated individuals for whom education wasn't a factor.

You should not assume that education is the key to success. There are many other factors that are far more important. Obviously, there are jobs you cannot do without education (physician) but there are also educations that don't bring you closer to important work.

Half of my education -- even graduate education -- was not worth the time or the money. The structuring of degree programs for "well rounded education" is a ripoff designed to maximize university revenue when the focus needs to be on usable skills.

Universities suck. I look forward to the day they're replaced with more efficient systems. And "tenure" becomes nonexistent.
