><>...taxi, insane? Far from it my friend...><>

You have expressed the inner most thoughts of man. Quite sane and warmly revealing.

Here in Ny we consider ourselves closer to god when we catch a taxi in 2
minutes when it is raining
....<g>, I know what you mean....I've been there...smile...maybe nextime I'm there I will get you....you are a taxi driver are you not?...Or am I assuming too much?

"It is the perception of one's destiny and fear of death that push people into corners.

Yea, and people in corners are like trapped animals, not much fun to be around.

It is that perception taxi that can cripple the soul.
The reality is that we, all of us, as children of God have a most exciting and wonderful destiny. When one accepts Jesus as their Lord and Savior, their destiny is sealed unto eternal glory. A destiny of everlasting life in glory with our maker, whereby only the flesh dies and not the soul.

There is a second death however,of the soul but not all will experience it.

and dead end/unhappy careers. One has to be ahead of the other guy, when the net
result is that we end up in a box in the cold earth
..

None end up in a box in the cold earth my friend, only the decrepid flesh....all of us have a spirit that returns to God who gave it. This happens at the moment of death. The spirit lives on....

We choose what it lives on to, either eternal glory or final death...This is the second death.

I like your description of the water falls and rain forest...pretty refreshing and quite ironic because Jesus spoke to a woman at a well and made this analogy of water...which came to my mind at seeing your description of nirvana.

John 4:7-19
7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.
8 (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)
9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.
10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?
12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?
13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
15 The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.

But taxi we do not have the ability to find this so-called nirvana in our own mind, ...not anything that is lasting anyway.... true peace comes only from God...and resides in our heart, which nourishes the mind.

"And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus".
There is our real peace....nirvana

The olden days people used to push these plagues and atrocities into fear against
the disbelievers.. if you don't believe then this will happen and that will happen..
accept this or.
..... Some might say taxi, that the olden days are still here...if we listened to some naysayers.

As to war, destruction, AIDS,and other diseases and atrocities, they are all man made.I did take note of your sataement...God allows them...yes taxi He surely does, just as He allows the discovery of millions of medicines and technological advances in all industry to alleviate and or wipe out many of these diseases. It is also why He allows good and righteouss men and women to head govts. in order to establish peace. Not to mention those who take care of the sick and homeless. He allows all the good that is in this world which is still far greater than all of the bad....Praise God, Praise God.!

God is good and He wants only good for us. But there are some in this world who would rather cause disease, and destruction than do one ounce of good. And then of course we have also ouselves to blame for much of the illnesses in this world.....they are a creation of mankind.

Rom 8:28
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Have to go for now my friend
Have a blessed weekend
Shalom...><>
