<OFF TOPIC & LONG>
RE ASIAN FLU-- more will be on the home pages soon.

i am not even looking at today's drop as a long lasting result of the flu/contagian whatever..today was fear..
there are many companies with cash and saleable goods here in usa- that will be hurt badly in the months to come.
like chains that go under etc..
will the immediate effect be good..on our economy.. yes people will benefit from cheaper cars cheaper products, companies like walmart that buy all of the mass produced garbage to sell {from asia} their balance sheets go up...
the companies in asia that hafta buy goods from usa.. example the screen printing emulsifiers.. there is a big factory in brooklyn..
this company has to compete with german sellers.. at a certain point the germans may be able to outbid because they have weaker currency.. or in the case of this compnay in brooklyn.. THEY GET PAID IN INDONESIAN money as part of the terms.. Guess what..THIS MEANS the guy from brooklyn either honors the contract or breaches and loses business..
either way the guy with thos 10,0000 gallons of ink/emulsifiers may find he now has negative margins etc.. this causes him to fire people in brooklyn and maybe convert his factory to a warehouse, as oppposed to when the economy was good he bought a warehouse and turned it intop a factory..
In short{hehe} I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT MOMENTUM Playing HERE
I am talking about serious monetary outflow.. like s&l bailouts but worse..
we are a global village.. lest we forget that..Gm forgot about asian cars.. before they came in and almost wiped them out.. now that we are all integrated they drown, we drown too.. just not today..
so we filter out all of the ones we think will survive and short the ones we believe it will take a miracle to save.. when the ones that will survive geat beaten.. WE BUY them like crazy..
i caught a pop fly today.. then swung for the fences with creaf.. I am out of momentum trading..
gonna put my head into the books for a while,
regards
