Her directive was to evaluate each project and determine whether or not it had potential to add to the bottom line or not. I subscribe to that notion. And I think the federal government is ripe for it. I would use cost effectiveness and I would go through everything systematically and thoughtfully. But we get no information on what criteria this crew may be using nor a report on what they have done and why. It appears to be both disorderly and arbitrary. My trust level is somewhere between very low and nonexistent that they will do either the right or the smart thing. Condoleeza Rice is a wonk. This administration is allergic to wonks.
