Dolby Vision Update For Some Sony 4K TVs!

by Guillaume - November 28, 20170

Sony is one of the few manufacturers to follow its products, and to offer updates to improve its characteristics. This time, the Japanese announces the arrival of an update to enable Dolby Vision compatibility on some of its 4K TVs . Good news !

Dolby Vision Update for A1, XE93, XE94 and ZD9 Series TVs

No specific date and very few details for this update to come, but Sony has already let filter the list of TVs that will benefit. We find the OLED TVs of the prestigious A1 series, but also the 2017 LED XE93 / XE94 flags, as well as the 2016 high-end screens of the ZD9 range. These are actually televisions with the X1 Extreme processor: the more affordable TVs will not be affected at first sight ... What Hi-Fi magazine had the chance to attend a demonstration presenting an OLED TV Sony KD-55A1 broadcasting content Dolby Vision: we can therefore think that the update is being tested by the engineers of the brand, and that it should arrive soon in our homes. A Sony employee spoke of the month of March 2018, when another foreign source told Sony about the month of December 2017 ... Wait and see!

We will be sure to update this article as soon as we have more information about this Dolby Vision update for Sony XE93, XE94, ZD9 and A1 series TVs. A little patience ??
