Hi Bob,
I think I've also read that they get rid of the R&D exemption in addition to taxing grad students for their tuition waivers. Both of those will damage the US in industries that require higher education. The semiconductor sector is one of those. We may as well just cede the sector to other countries that value higher education more than we do (read: pretty much every other country in the world).

This tax bill is nuts. In these as well as many other ways.
