What are you talking about, Kirk? What is this provision? Does it only apply to reinvested dividends (whatever it is)?

Hi kirk,

I have many of my very old shares (bought in 2001-2003) that the Irs has no record of.

They were bought before record keeping was a requirement.

That being said any shares bought that do have records would fall with in the lifo last in first out tax scheme.

If that is what they are planning.

Bob

OK, here is the table with dividend yield included.

It is too bad that table doesn't show their dividend rate.

IF you were reinvesting dividends in a TAXABLE account, then it would make sense to "take profits" with the most recently added shares this year before the GOP tax plan forces you to sell your original shares before you sell the most recently bought shares with automatic dividend reinvestments.

These are the top 7 losers today in the S&P-500. The 2 at the top of the list have 0 dividend yields, the rest have dividend yields. MU and LRCX have almost identical losses today, MU does not provide dividends, LRCX does.

MU and WDC have very low PE ratios going forward compared to the other 5 stocks. MU no dividends, WDC does have dividends.
