OT; I put all the money into my IRA before I moved to California and got no deduction.
I am paying the max as I take it out now. Getting money out of IRAs in a tax friendly way is very hard.
My current plan to get money out of my IRA, that worked for 4 years, depended upon tax deductions.

Luckily I converted 2/3 of my IRA to a Roth in 1998.
I have told my two kids who live in Berkeley and Santa Barbara....Roth, Roth , Roth.
