I do not know what the numbers are , but if you've been saving in an IRA and other equity investments - once you hit the 70 1/2 age , which requires the RMD.

There must be a huge amount of boomers who will be paying a higher tax bracket for the first time in their lives.

I know many of my pilot friends have been worried about this.

The other alternative is to pay the taxes and slide as much deferred income as into a Roth IRA.

Either way the US Government is about to reap some big tax receipts.

The drop into a lower rate and a larger standard deduction will help alleviate that pain.

Bob, I said "a corporation of some sort". I was being all inclusive there. I suppose I should have said "a company of some sort". It seems like most individuals filing as individuals (in which I include couples or families) will get screwed in one way or another.

It really is kind of incredible how many terrible things are in this bill. Although we don't have a final version yet.
