Hi paul,

I have always liked LAD.

Excellent reputation for computer systems and processes.

Seem to be located in smaller niche markets (Anchorage and Alaska) that have better margins - less threat of electrical vehicles taking over urban markets and / or manufacturers going direct to big fleet buyers (uber lyft etc.)

I have a good position in Ford - love the dividend.

If you think gas is lower for longer then Ford trucks (especially work trucks are very solid regarding market share).

If you think there will be an infrastructure move - think 3/4 and one ton trucks ( Ford and GM -Dodge to a lesser degree unless the work requires a deisel).

We have a solid commercial division in the Chevy store I ran for 25 years selling to the oil patch - good for 500 to 750 4x4 3/4 ton trucks annually. I started it in 1999 - very proud of it and the people who I have left behind when I sold out last year.

fwiw, auto manufacturers. Looks like Subaru may have been falsifying gas mileage claims. Stock hits 12-mo low on this news. I sell my seed position (FUJHY) and add to my Fiat (FCAU) holdings.
