GOP Sen. Cornyn: Trigger proposal is unworkable 12 Mins Ago | 01:09

Senate Republicans are rushing to fix their tax bill only hours before an expected vote.

The Senate parliamentarian ruled Thursday that a fiscal "trigger," important to winning deficit-wary Sen. Bob Corker's support for the GOP tax bill, will not work under Senate rules. Republican senators are now looking to find new ways to address the concerns of Corker, a so-called "deficit hawk" Republican from Tennessee.

Republican Sens. Jeff Flake of Arizona and James Lankford of Oklahoma are among the other GOP senators with fears about growing budget deficits.

Sen. David Perdue of Georgia said his fellow Republicans are considering future tax increases not linked to any trigger as part of the bill.

Reuters, citing a Republican senator and an aide, said Senate Republicans are weighing whether to make corporate tax cuts in the plan expire in year six or seven.

What a waste of time. Just so the GOP can say they did something this year. In the mean time, my health care costs DOUBLED from last year. I mean what the fuck? I don't need a tax cut. I need them to fix the damned broken Obamacare, which is the single biggest destruction of wealth the 99% are seeing right now. Our Congress on both sides of the aisle are so incredibly damned clueless as to what normal Americans are facing. How loud do we have to scream for them to fix health care? I can't tell you how pissed off I am that Obama pinned his legacy on that peace of shit and the GOP promised for 6 years to repeal and replace and then they couldn't get their heads out of their asses to fix it.

I am sickened by both the Dems and the GOP in our government. They are all a bunch of loser incompetents.
