Your post is absolutely true. I had this very same discussion with my wife. I asked her and my mom both what they thought about all this sexual predator stuff. First, we all three agreed that most of what is coming out in the news is pretty disgusting and those men should be in trouble. So what I'm about to share with you does not in any way defend any of those perverts. However, what my mom and wife both said was that they feel that women are not as innocent as the media makes them out to be. They both said that many of these women, especially in Hollywood know exactly what they were doing when they were using their feminine wiles to trade sex or sexual appeal for opportunity. My wife who was a business woman for many years said that women have used their appeal for decades to get ahead in the business world and that won't change now that women have far more equality. She went as far as to say that if a pretty women did not use all of her assets to get ahead, then they would be unnecessarily limiting themselves. She said actually sleeping with someone to get ahead is wrong, but that flirting is what both men and women do all the time. So this is the problem. Men and women flirt. Sex is in our nature. We can't let all this get too extreme, because we can't deny the fact that we are animals at our core and that sex is natural. But what we have to do is to make sure the work environment and really our entire culture is set up in such a way as to protect people, especially women, from other using their power to coerce sex. That's when it crosses the line. How will we distinguish the cases where a woman seduces a powerful man hoping for opportunity and when she doesn't get it, she accuses the man of being a predator? Well, my advice to men is keep your dick in your pants if the woman is in your working environment. Otherwise, know that you risk losing everything. And if you are married and doing that, well, then you probably deserve to lose everything.
