I'm assuming your friends are in the States cos if they were in the Middle East... they would likely be dead for making such a statement.... and certainly dont tell that to Isis

That doesn't matter. What matters about the notion of Sharia is not the set of particulars but that it presupposes no separation of mosque and state. That's why it's incompatible with the US.
