You'd have a point if this was new.

It isn't. France, for example, has been taking Muslims from their old colonies for decades. And they have had a terrorism problem, for decades. I remember a TV station that was built more than 30 years ago outside of Paris. It was at the top of something that looked like a big water tower, and was coated on the outside with tiles to prevent it from being climbed. When I was traveling through northern Germany, I would see buildings in the middle of sugar beet fields. They were TV and radio stations. They were in the middle of those fields so that attackers would have to cover a lot of open fields to get to the station, giving them time to implement counter-measures.

Now granted, not all of these measures were against Muslims, like us they have their own crazies. But it isn't a new thing, there. It goes back decades. The recent influx of refugees has only accentuated long-term problems.
