Russia gate is absolutely fake news. We absolutely expect our President-Elect to reach out to ANY countries that we need to have relationships and that includes especially Russia and China, the other two world super powers. The Logan Act was never intended to prevent a President or President-Elect and/or their delegates to talk to foreign agents of foreign governments. And in point of fact, it has never been used to disrupt a Presidency. A suit against Trump for doing that would never win in court. This was a farce that was created by the former interim AG under Obama. The only crime committed here was Flynn's lying to the FBI, which is also a farce. The FBI had the transcripts of Flynn's meetings from the NSA. Then they used the interviews with Flynn to entrap him, since a person's memory is never as good as transcripts. In addition, they made Flynn believe that he had done something wrong by reaching out to Russian counterparts, which is probably why he lied in the first place. Had Flynn been smarter, he would have lawyered up and found out he could have told the truth, because reaching out to Russian counterparts is NOT illegal, as long as it is registered as part of his duties in office. So all of this B.S. with Flynn was entrapment in a witch hunt going after Trump. The FBI and Mueller are as partisan as can be. What I worry about is not really Trump getting canned, but what this precedent does for future administrations! We don't want to create extra-judicial processes that enable partisan soft coups. That would be perverting our Democratic processes and make us more like third world countries. As for any President-Elect, including Trump, reaching out to Russia, that is not only NOT illegal, it is expected as a new administration establishes itself.

Now, if you want to go after Trump, go after him for the things that he's done that are actually reprehensible, such as the following:

Trump obscene remarks were real - TV host Billy Bush
bbc.com
In the New York Times, he said the US president was "indulging in revisionist history", amid reports Mr Trump now questioned whether the tape was real.
Mr Trump originally apologised for the remarks, which came to light a month before he won last year's election.

Top Republicans condemned the tape, but most still backed Mr Trump's campaign.

In his opinion piece, the former co-anchor of NBC's Access Hollywood show said he and seven others who had witnessed the remarks were convinced they were "listening to a stand-up act".

"He said it. 'Grab 'em by the pussy,'" Bush wrote.

"Of course he said it. And we laughed along, without a single doubt that this was hypothetical hot air from America's highest-rated bloviator."

But Bush said that after reading accounts by 20 women who have come forward to accuse Mr Trump of unwanted sexual advances, he now knew better.

"President Trump is currently indulging in some revisionist history, reportedly telling allies... that the voice on the tape is not his. This has hit a raw nerve in me," Bush added.

He said the president was "wantonly poking the bear" as the US was trying to come to terms with years of sexual abuse and misconduct against leading figures in the media and entertainment industry.

Mr Trump has denied any allegations against him of sexual misconduct and threatened to sue his accusers.

But at the time the videotape was released he appeared to acknowledge that it was real, dismissing it as "locker room talk".

According to US media reports, Mr Trump has been privately telling allies that the voice on the recording is not his.

Bush, a nephew of former president George HW Bush, lost his job as co-host of NBC's Today show after the videotape was released.
