I have family members who are homeless - except for their RV and travel all year long. Working where they can. They are retired but very physically active and their there are opportunities around the country they travel to and take advantage of. They are seeing the world and love it. ...........You make it sound like they are some white trash forced to live this way. Look, we have an unlimited potential for jobs rebuilding our infrastructure if that time comes - but there is no longer a demand for those jobs because we are very close to full employment in most of the country. Be an optimist. the opportunity that automation and AI provides are a boom for developed societies. Enjoy the benefits that they offer.
