That is the problem! That is why I came to the official historian of SI!

Perhaps it should be handled like an estate.

You could post on this thread a notice as the official historian that a claim for this honor has been filed giving a certain length of time for anyone to post a link to a superior claim. If after public notice and given length of time, the honor is granted by the official historian if no superior claim is filed.

If a claim is filed later, they must appeal to the official historian who will determine if the delay in filing a claim is justified and if the claim is superior. If an honor is revoked, the official historian will notify the orginal holder of that honor by e-mail or a post to this thread.

I would think a reasonable time period would be 24 hrs. Especially since they have the right of appeal.
