Steve I am totally into pragmatism and understand the need. I am hoping the moderate dem Amy Klobuchar runs for president as she can be elected. But, one has to separate what is possible and what is needed. If no one posts what the real problems are e.g. military industrial complex, income inequality, and solutions how can they be debated? I would be happy to see any one of the democratic women senators as president. Right now Trump and the Republicans are acting exactly like modern day Nazi's. The only reason Trump is not doing more damage is because of modern times, media and our firm democracy. Trump is going to do increasingly horrible things and we must be prepared. There is talk of him forming an intelligence agency outside of our FBI and CIA reporting only to Pompeo and Trump. And people keep talking about worker replacement by AI. The answer to that is simple: redistribution of wealth, as a society has the right to do. We need to remember we live and function as a society. And everyone benefits if the society is healthy which means a vibrant middle class. Right now we re being ruled by a plutocratic oligarchy e.g. Koch brothers, et al.
